On the 5th and 6th of July in New York, U.S.A., development partners will convene at the United Nations Development Cooperation Forum (UN-DCF).

Meeting every 2 years, the UN-DCF is a multi-stakeholder platform that enables all development actors - including civil society - to voice their priorities and influence political action and realities of international development cooperation.

This year, the UN-DCF will focus on 4 objectives:

1. Sustainable development

2. Aid allocations and aid results

3. South‐South Cooperation

4. Mutual accountability between donors and programme countries

A dedicated CSO task force is coordinating civil society participation to the UN-DCF, including the CSO-run side events on: Human Rights-Based Approach and Gender.

Furthermore, in relation to Objective 4 and to emphasize that " Accountability is Everyone’s Business ", Open Forum is disseminating our flyer for the event:

International Framework Flyer for UNDCF 2012:

Accountability is Everyone’s Business:

INTERNATIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR CSO DEVELOPMENT EFFECTIVENESS: Commitment of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) as independent development actors to be fully accountable for their development practices

Download here

We invite you to circulate the flyer widely to your network, in particular those attending the UN-DCF.

For more information about the UN-DCF and civil society participation, please see our International Events page.
