Throughout the Busan Global Civil Society Forum and the 4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness, UN Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association Maina Kiai has been a strong advocate for civil society enabling environment.

Maina Kiai has now launched a survey to identify best practices in promoting freedom of assembly and of association to which all civil society organizations are invited to contribute. The questionnaire has also been shared with UN Member States, National Human Rights Institutions and regional human rights mechanisms.

Your identity can remain confidential (only the country where you operate will be disclosed).

The answers will later be made public on the website of Mr Kiai and support his thematic report to elaborate a framework on best practices in promoting and protecting civic rights, in accordance with UN Human Rights Council resolution 15/21.
