This international workshop, held on 13 May in Copenhagen, brought together representatives from partners, donors and civil society in order to discuss ways in which ownership of development processes by partner countries - not only partner governments - can be promoted. The conference featured a thematic group on building the capacity of CSOs in participating in policy dialogue and monitoring.

Visit the web site of the conference and consult this background paper, written by Richard Ssewakiryanga for the thematic group on CSOs. It sets out some of the key issues related CSOs in development!
