European seminar on CSO development effectiveness, Vienna, 10-11 March 2010

As part of its outreach activities in Europe, CONCORD will organise a regional seminar on CSO development effectiveness on 10 and 11 March 2010 in Vienna.

The seminar is targeted at CSO representatives from Eastern and South-Eastern European countries that are not members of the EU: Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Montenegro, Macedonia, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, the Kosovo. CSO representatives from other countries can participate depending on the availability of space. Priority will be given to CSO representatives that have an interest in organising a consultation on CSO development effectiveness in their country.

The seminar intends to initiate discussion on how to move the CSO development effectiveness agenda forward.

The seminar will be one of the four Open Forum preparatory workshops that will be held to prepare country consultations. Previously, workshops have also been held in Lima (1-3 December) and Bangkok (6-7 November). A workshop for the Africa region will be held in Nairobi on 27-28 January.
